Ataturk Airport

Ataturk Airport is the biggest airport in Istanbul and Turkey. This airport has an essential role in public flight transportation of Istanbul.You can transport by bus from Taksim,Sisli and by metro from Aksaray.

Located on the Europaen side of Istanbul in Yesilkoy , close to the coast of Marmara Sea. The terminal complex consists of a 186,000-square meter, four-level (three principal levels plus a mezzanine level) terminal building served by 18 aircraft boarding bridge gates, and a 179,500-square meter 7076 vehicle capacity, multi-level, structural car park, accepted as the largest in Europe currently.The terminal features include direct pedestrian connections from the car park to all levels of the international terminal, and also to the separate domestic terminal, as well as a complete metro station, integrated functionally to the extension of Istanbul Metro System in the beginning of 2003.You can use tram from Eminonu to Zeytinburnu,then you have to transfer to the metro to airport. A passenger lounge boarding up to 12 departing flights served by remotely parked aircraft docking guidance system is also incorporated in the international terminal, which has separate processing facilities for arriving and departing international passengers via privately owned aircrafts and international VIP passengers.

After Ataturk Airport Sabiha Gokcen Airport has been established on the Asian side of Istanbul.
